Monte S. Sheets is Senior Pastor of Cedarville Community Church in Leo-Cedarville, Indiana.  He has served this congregation as Pastor since November, 1985.  Monte is a native of south-eastern Ohio, where he spent the first 27 years of his life.  He was called into and licensed for gospel ministry  November 9, 1975 and ordained April 15, 1980.  Following his call to gospel ministry Monte pursued theological training.  He graduated from Tri-State Bible College in South Point, Ohio with a Bachelor of Theology Degree.  In August, 1986, he graduated from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling Degree.

Since the early days of his calling into gospel ministry, Monte has had a passion to see the Church of Jesus Christ renewed to her rightful place as the “radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless”, and to her rightful mission of “going and making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything Jesus has commanded”.  He eagerly anticipates the day when the power of God flowing through the Church of Jesus Christ transforms the surrounding geographical region socially, economically, politically, educationally as well as spiritually.

Prompted by this passion Monte is very active in Fort Wayne Renewal Ministries as one of the Servant-leaders.  Fort Wayne Renewal Ministries’ purpose is to work in support of local congregations and ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to encourage and facilitate sincere and earnest prayer of repentance and petition, and unified worship, all centered on the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the end of deep and lasting revival of the Church, the unified Body of Christ.
